600mm (23.6") RC Work Tugboat from Heng Long - RTR - HLG3810-001

The Heng Long RC Tugboat is a valuable addition to any RC fleet as a stand-alone work boat, towing a scale barge, or even as a rescue retrieval boat for any model that may become disabled away from shore! The detailed deck superstructure features life rafts, winches, boom crane, and more. In addition, rubber fenders and attachment hardware allow for safety and convenience when docking, transiting, or rescuing other models.

The propeller is located within the nozzle/rudder assembly and will only engage when the boat is placed in water to ensure safe operation for younger skippers. Perhaps the most fun feature of this boat is the operational water cannon, allowing the tug to spray a stream of water at the push of a button on the transmitter!

Can it run in salt water?

It is suggested to run in freshwater over salt water. Salt water can corrode. If running in salt please thoroughly clean the boat after use.

Do you mean if it is free of interference from other RC models? If that's the question, Yes, it have 2,4 Ghz system, free interference.

Yes, the Tugboat comes with basic hardware for rescue of my sailboats. Swinging out the hook does catch the fore or aft stay on my DF65 and DF95 RC Sailboats. The shallow draft works good for just a push when deeper draft boats run aground. I am thinking of finding a better hook on the crane and adding a little floatation at the waterline below the tires for better stability.

    Nice boat but overall disappointment

Unfortunately many of the...read moreSince I won at my local club's R/C tug regatta with a friend's borrowed boat, I have been interested in getting a tug of my own. Unfortunately many of the RTR tugs (like the ProBoat harbor tug) aren't cheap. The Heng Long looked like a nice way to dip my toe into the tug scene without a major outlay of cash. Was it worth it? THE ROSES: The Heng Long tugboat is nicely packaged and appears to be reasonably well put together. It has a lot of nice realistic touches like rope around the winches, tire fenders to hang on the side and more. The kit goes together quickly and easily, and appears to be pretty well made for the price. THE THORNS: The radio setup is CHEAP! You do NOT have proportional control with this system. The steering is either full turn or nothing, and it appears the motor is also either full on or full off. It has a feature where you cannot run the vessel unless it is in the water. While this may seem like a good feature for little kids who might stick their fingers into a moving prop, for anyone else it is a nuisance. CAVEAT EMPTOR: While Motion RC was willing to accept the return, I found that I would have to pay shipping, and the cheapest shipping back to Motion RC would be almost half what I paid for the model! I do see on the Web a lot of pages devoted to the stories of people who have upgraded this tug with better radios and ESCs, so I guess I'll keep it and do my own upgrades. THE VERDICT: The Heng Long tugboat was a product I desperately wanted to like a lot more than I do. I honestly think they should've put in a better radio and esc, and they could've probably still sold a ton of these at $200. As it sits the boat is a tug that may entertain the littles, but is largely a snooze for more serious model boat enthusiasts. Do not recommend.

Lucky me ,wearing a strong harness, not a scratch, and I returned to my unit in the Philippines. Talk about a scary experience, To be honest I am still recovering from an accident, last year, so flying has been out of the question, but this HELICOPTER, is something very special to me. IT is really special, in detail, also has room upfront for a pilot 1/6, and a 1/6 copilot, meticulous realism, GET YOURSELF ONE, YOU WONT BE SORRY, it's a beauty. It is somewhat heavy but it flies very light and agile....read moreThe Eurofighter 90mm 6S is my fourth Freewing EDF Jet from Motion RC; first delta wing jet and it has become my favorite! It is somewhat heavy but it flies very light and agile. Takes-off like a champ. Lands well very well but do keep the nose up as this jet wants a higher angle of attack on approach than more conventional designs and work the throttle to control rate of descent/sink do not try to float this in. Battery Bay is the biggest flaw; poorly designed. No space to move a larger battery back and get a good neutral CG. I am currently running stock setup per the manual SMC 4900 HV packs to keep the weight down and lessen nose heaviness. Balances about 15-20mm behind the factory CG mark and Im getting 3 to 3:30ish flight time depending on wind conditions with mixed throttle flight. Love the presence and profile of this jet iin the air; especially with ordnance on; looks muscular and very impressive on slow and fast low passes down the runway. And it sounds amazing as well! Another minor issue was the vertical stabilizer came with a large rip that looked big and **** but did not affect the integrity of the control surface. Normally if I find a small blemish in the foam I ignore it but this one was too big to disregard. To Motion RCs credit I contacted them about this and they sent a new one out right away and I had it in 3 days. Fantastic customer service!! Overall great experience and if you have any interest in this jet at all just get it…if it is in stock…it is a popular one for reasons that I now understand for myself!

Two surprises I got were that you had to buy a programmer in order to adjust the get rates. Hmmm at$800 for this plane an $11 programmer should have been included at best let you know that you need it. Yet another shipping charge. The other small surprise is that if you plan to use suggested control rates, be prepared to move linkages at servo and horn. Tires are hard, but this may be needed due to the weight of this airplane. I’m eager to get it in the air. It’s massive and impressive.

I haven't assembled and flown this P.15 Lippisch yet, but I'm sure it will be as fast and fun as my first Freewing P.15 is. A bit challenging at first, but this plane can be flown at slower speeds as well.

The only changes I would like to see in the future especially in your Toro and Mato rc rtr 1/16 tanks is having the choice between IR and airsoft versions.
